Colonel Tiki’s Society of Syrups is a private virtual club dedicated to educating, promoting, and making available a library of resources for its members based on its own underlying philosophy and aesthetical culinary designs centered on these focusing ideals of flavor and flavor-theory:

• Locality, seasonality, tradition, historic relevance, & social accountability
• Whole and entire fruits, spices, seeds, and other ingredients
• Low-tech and minimal processing of ingredients where possible
• Interest in varietals & variations of fruit, spices, seeds, and other ingredients
• Hand-made, people-centered culinary traditions
• Scientific and academic rigor

The Society’s enduring goals are these avenues of support and resource:

• Presentation of seminars, publication of works, and continued academic inquiry into flavor theory and history
• Club functions at attended events – outreach and in-event support for club members
• Community and online forum or discussion area for members to connect, collaborate, and discuss
• Make available for nominal fee a library of syrups for members to requisition and use on their own flavor journeys
